They had thousands of strokes of good fortune without one single occurance of a million variables going the wrong way. Like winning 50,000 consecutive coin flips in a row.

The bad luck occurs on Earth. Too many variables like flocks of birds, clouds, atmospheric moisture,...the firmament.

It's quite curious isn't it!! I got to write a paper about the 'facts' vs 'conspiracies' and after a while you start going 'wait a minute....' but soon as you try to say any of the conspiracies are plausible, they will fail you. I got a B for being a good little believer like I was at the time. The B was for saying one of the conspiracies were plausible. Stanley Kubrick had a lot to say when he made Eyes Wide Shut.
