Birth Control and it's hormonal consequences are not talked about NEARLY enough. In blindfold tests, women that are on birth control selected mates based upon scent nearly at random. Women that had never used birth control, however, had a noticable pattern towards males with a higher level of testosterone. We, as a society, are no longer performing mate selection with any appreciable level of care to sustain ourselves. I believe this applies to both men, and women at scale and of every race due to the slow erosion of social mores. There's just no appropriate way to meet someone.

Would this lead to higher or lower intelligence? If women are not selecting for tall Chad's because they are not as attracted to higher testosterone men then over iq should go up. Unless these women overstay their fertility window and don't have kids at all. Low iq people probably don't use any contraception and hence our collective iq goes down.

I would argue that testosterone isn't linked directly to IQ, but there's a direct correlation between IQ and mate selection. My source is that I made it the fuck up. Ultimately, any situation that increases the likelihood of divorce and poor parenting will impact even good genetics and overall intelligence. Nature is strong, but nurture has its part, especially when mom stops taking pills and suddenly doesn't want the same life she had, children included.
