we are all agnostics whether we admit it or not. but does it make sense to have faith in something? yes because faith = hope and hope is empowering - it gives you a functional advantage. does it make sense to believe in one specific idea of God based on books and stories? that depends on your own logic and personal revelation. a safe secular perspective might be: all that is good is of God and order. everything else is from the other side, the devil and chaos. we all inherently have the ability to differentiate these things. follow all that is good. shun everything else. this is also a unifying perspective because it allows us to worship with almost anyone. most religions have a lot of good in them faithful agnosticism it's honest, it's pure. if there is a God it's a good God and a fair God. if we are judged it will be on our effort and our humility a God could not ask for more than our best and humble effort

I agree with some of this. Be good to humans without needing to go to your respective religions heaven.

What defines a good human? When you look in the mirror how do you measure up? Mark 10:18 (KJV) "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God."

Is Jesus and your god the same being? Why would Jesus say it like that? How weird? Is it a big deal that Jesus, an immortal being, "died"? Why is it a big deal that your god made a human woman pregnant? Its your gods only son? Your god could do it again if it wanted. Your god is known for changing its mind quite often about many things. In the OT people killed animals. In the NT, your god killed its only son. Right after your god creates humans it gets upset about humans doing human things, and murders all humans with a flood. How is this being intelligent? Would you kill your kids because they do something? Is that showing love for your children if you kill them when they "sin"?
