Evangelicals get horny for the Second Coming because we fear the prospect of having to kill to self-preserve. We're looking for every god damn way to get ourselves out of this predicament without resorting to violence. It is for one specific reason: We've had bloodlust bred out of us at the civilizational level. It's SO bad that mere self- preservation feels foreign to us. The answer, when it really boils down to it, is actually very fucking simple: Find and kill the people who are actively trying to kill you. Jews still have bloodlust built into their cultural DNA and they have guarded it since the beginning of time... it's why they are the dominant species on Earth. For now.
