I've had to learn that what you consume will eventually consume you. If you're dwelling on all the bad things happening in the world, it will drown out all other thoughts. That's why the Bible tells us to take every thought captive (2 Cor. 10:5). Spend more time reading the Bible, praying, and write down the good things God has done in your life. I've also found that listening to podcasts or pastors on YouTube while doing mundane tasks throughout the day helps. The more time you spend seeking God, the more He will reveal Himself to you.
