I saw a couple people get banned for spam and general douchebagery like inciting violence and whatever. as you said banning and deleting users makes the website a mess with missing dialogue and interaction everywhere. Perhaps they will figure out some kind of "Suspended" state an account can be in where you can appeal your suspension and correct your behavior, rather than running around trying to make a bunch of accounts like dumbass @logical. Cause it also kinda sucks for users if you fuck up and get banned, then you can't have a change of heart and come back and apologize for your behavior, cause you're locked out of the account. It's a very nuanced situation.
