They do though. Memories fade in order of salience. This is normal and the natural way of human beings. What words did you speak to your friend yesterday? What words did you speak a year ago? Human discourse without intent of record should not be preserved with your identity in this way. It is unnatural in my view. We need to navigate this with care. Also this should never be confused with human to human interaction. I am a human, I presume you are. But you are not present in this digital space as a human. You are an avatar of a human who exists somewhere else. For that you are accountable but I think it's a dangerous distortion to pretend the identity you project is the same thing as being a real human, in the world.
