I could speak of the usual crime/safety, education, culture, etc but I am more interested what experts have to say first. I respect Thomas Sowell as a source because of his extensive knowledge, research, lived experience and courage to challenge prevailing myths with evidence. He was exposing leftist ideology and race hustlers since the 60's The fact that your rebuttal is to disregard the researcher and or research probably means you enjoy your blame the "whoever" world view too much. Addressing the real crisis would require effort, work and change of attitudes and behavior. Evading responsibility for outcomes by blaming racism and historic wrongs might feel good like any escapism but will not accomplish anything and you will be back here again trying to get your fix.

Nah, I can just spot a race grifter no matter the race, and Thomas Sowell is one of the biggest race grifters I have come across during my time trying to grow in my understanding. At one point, I thought he made plenty of sense in his approach. However he completely the empathy it takes to really understand history. Looking at things objectively now, yes black people are free, and we have the same rights as everyone else. But to completely ignore how and what shaped the culture black people have today (as a black person) is willfully ignorant as hell. That is why I cannot subscribe to anything that that mans says. Not saying he does not make decent and truthful points, but he is grifter for sure.
