God is the absolute, personal, and triune ground of all reality, logic, and meaning.

When you ask this question, you cannot approach God as if He is just one more "thing" inside the universe, or a giant object floating in the sky that we can prove through empirical scientific observation. God is not a creature. God is the very condition of possibility for things like logic, mathematics, science, and objective morality to exist in the first place.

If you try to understand reality without this God, your worldview completely collapses into radical skepticism and nihilism. This is what we call the Transcendental Argument for God (TAG). You cannot even formulate a rational sentence or argue against God without implicitly borrowing from the rational, orderly universe that only the Triune God can ground.

To break down exactly Who God is, we must look at Him through the framework of Eastern Orthodox Theology:

• He is Personal and Triune: God is not an abstract "force," an impersonal "First Cause," or a monad. God is a community of three distinct Divine Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who exist in an eternal relationship of love.

• The Essence-Energies Distinction: This is crucial. God is completely unknowable and transcendent in His Essence (who He is in His inner nature). No created mind can ever grasp the essence of God. However, God makes Himself entirely known, accessible, and present to us through His uncreated Energies (His operations, grace, and actions in the world).

• He is Logocentric: The universe has an objective, rational order because it was created through the Logos—Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity. Every single thing in creation has a logos (a divine blueprint or purpose) embedded within it by God.

• He is Participable: God did not just create the world and walk away. Through the Incarnation of Jesus Christ, the infinite God united Himself with finite human nature. Because of this, God is a being we can actually commune with and participate in, a process we call theosis (divinization by grace).

In short, God is the ultimate Presupposition. He is the light by which you see everything else. Trying to prove God using secular logic is like taking a flashlight out at noon to see if the sun is real. God is the Sun.
