There's a lot to be said for Shakespeare's 'All the world's a stage, blah, blah.....actors.' It comes to mind everytime I think I've got a handle on something or someone, then one light comes on while another snuffs out. Issues, actualities and deceptions are so strategically conflated that clarity and conviction can have a very thin line to walk. That said, I believe that Musk and Trump have agreed to be paid actors. They have a lot to gain. The pay is good. I just had a thought as to one possible way one might naively and unknowingly become a paid actor. Take the $5,000 "stimulus" check idea that is being batted around and may soon become reality. On the heels of all the promises, tough guy "truth" speeches, gaslighting, faux fighting for your rights as taxpayers, exposing fraud, waste, etc., (who doesn't love that!) eliminating those who dared to deceive you and this country, pitchforks out and fists raised in support of all this long-term injustice! Psychologically in reparation, here's $5,000 for your trouble...you've been wronged (in so many, many ways) and you deserve this! "I" will make this right for you. (Keep in mind this is head over heels better than the measley, insulting pittance that Biden offered. Another actor playing his part.) Deceivingly desperate measures feed on desperate times. In a nutshell, those checks that don't even touch on or address any real issues are (IMHO) essentially casting call payments. Unbeknownst to the eventual signator. What do you think?
