'' God already knew what Abraham would choose, but Abraham had to actually arrive at that moment in time.'' Since when? ''Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” So does this mean God had not known Abraham's faith was real till that point was reached?

No. It does not mean God lacked knowledge until that point. “Now I know” can mean “now it has been demonstrated,” not “now I have acquired information I previously lacked.” God already knew Abraham’s heart. But Abraham’s faith still had to be brought into lived obedience. There is a difference between God eternally knowing what Abraham would do and Abraham actually walking through that moment in time. That is why James 2 says Abraham’s faith was “completed by his works.” Not because his faith was fake before, and not because God was ignorant before, but because faith reaches its completed form when it becomes obedient action. So the test was not about God gaining knowledge. It was about Abraham’s faith being revealed, proven, and completed in reality.

''Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” Does this mean then God had not known whether Abraham feared God or now?
