He would see stone and gold where there was once only sandals and dirt. Thrones and robes where there were once fishermen and beggars. Guarded gates instead of open doors. Wealth was built on his name. Power cloaked in holiness.

He would not need to speak. He would walk its halls, look into the silence, and everyone would know, this was not the mission. This was not the way.

He would not rage. He would not destroy. But the weight of his presence would be heavier than thunder. A single glance would tear through centuries of ritual and reveal what remains—if anything—of his message.

Because Jesus never asked for a palace. He walked among the poor, healed in the streets, and preached from hillsides. He never wore gold, only the dust of the road and the weight of compassion.

And if he came back today, he would not be found in the heights of Vatican marble.

He would be outside. With the wounded. With the doubters. With the ones who were never allowed in.
