Parent Post: Canada 51st state .. my thought

As a Canadian living in Ontario I would love to become a 51st state. I too have benefitted using our "free" health care system but honestly my reason to become the 51st is for my protection of rights... ever since covid I haven't looked at canada the same.

Yeah I agree it was garbage how everything went down. I agree with the personal rights parts. The part that concerns me regales of US/ CAN is what I’m seeing in the UK. How they are starting to arrest people for posting, seeing how Meta and X are banning whomever they want.. they are keeping everyone so divided, and at the same time slowly chipping away at our rights. I remember hearing people complaining about how they got rid / scaled back on classes (such as music) in my fiends kids schools .. this was years ago (maybe 10yrs) , people were complaining.. But they have had us all fighting we forgot .. We have to keep an eye on our rights

Yeah the UK and Germany are concerning to watch from across the sea. The censorship and fining commonsense statements is something that i fear can happen here. Everyone is about free speech until they hear something they didn't like and in Canada that can be anything... i hope u are doing well in the UK. These times are very strange
