It is easy to forget the British culture and military might that once conquered so much of the world. That made me want to check the famous line supposedly uttered by the Captain of the sinking Titanic — “Be British.” It was mostly a myth. The actual words reported were closer to “Well, boys, do your best for the women and children, and look out for yourselves.” Many men quietly obeyed the cultural expectation of politeness and “women and children first,” and it showed clearly in the death statistics. And apparently Captain Smith was not a Jesuit agent on a mission to create an accident in which the wealthy families objecting to the creation of the Federal Reserve would perish. In a crazy event world, I am a perfectly innocent vessel and the theories just climb aboard on their own:)
