Seems like a calling out here? Fair enough. Good to see humor hard at work. lol I never said White Fragility didn't exist. I said it was, and is a racist term...no? I even compared it to other racist terms. Honest question for you...when black people use the n word....is that racist? Is that a racist term, regardless of who uses it? Just the linguistics/semantics...not the context. We can separate the two. Peace.

Oh @braven I wasn't even mentioning you or thinking about you when I made this post. Genuinely. I can use my own discernment in regards to who's trying to engage in thoughtful conversation, and who is just trolling. You've never given me a reason to think that you are a troll. "Honest question for you...when black people use the n word....is that racist?" It honestly depends on the context. To me, words are just that. Words. I have been bullied all my life for several reasons, but at this point, to me, words are just words. One could even look at it as self deprecation by using the word, OR in most cases that I have heard from other black people is that we took a word once used to degrade us, and flipped it as a term of endearment when referring to something. To me, it's more of an adjective now in how it's used. "Is that a racist term, regardless of who uses it?" That's a good question. I think it's a pretty nuanced one too. I look at it as "Is using the word slave derogatory to the Slavic people? Putting the context behind how the word came about, and the pain that is associated with it." To me that is the same as the word nigga/nigger/negro/negus. Yes there is a lot of pain and trauma behind the word, but before it was used to describe a certain type of black person, it was used to describe a color. Before the racial constructs were invented, the word Negus had a powerful connotation. Overall, I think the intent of its use determines if it is racist or not. I am not as much of a stickler as other black people when it comes down to that word.

Hey BP, It is curious to me that you and I can have this discussion. Without animosity. Reading through some of the threads and it reads like .....ouch. You have great general insights, and your take on history is exceptionally well perceived. Most especially, your personal insights are greatly appreciated. Peace brother.

Like I said man, I can tell who is trying to be genuine, and who is a troll. I respond like mindedly. I meet trolls with troll behavior, and I meet racist with racist behavior. However, when someone is trying to engage in good faith discussion, I can meet them where they are in response.
