I've noticed this has become a real problem on X. I don't know if its the dead internet theory at work, their algo going full AI or what, but follower count no longer equates to enough views to earn the right to garner likes. It seems more and more like if you're not laying for Elon's home team, your reach is shit and the only people who see and interact with your posts are the ones with notifications turned on. I can pay X $8 a month for 2-6 likes a post, or I can come to sojooo (which let's be honest, probably has less than a couple thousand active users) yet if I make a decent post here, it has 15 bumps in a few hours. X's inflated numbers have become meaningless, and I'll take a couple thousand cool people here ready to talk it out and interact over the Ghost of Twitter Past any day.
