Because there's evidence and math to support the soviets and America coming in after the war and reconstructing certain parts of the "camps" to make them look like they were killing instead of re-educating and trying to be humane. A hefty amount of the photos we see of starving people laying up in camps actually comes from Russia during the same period, which did actually possess death camps & a railway. Look up the holodomer.

I gotta find this one picture but it was a juxtaposition of Auschwitz the way it was found when liberated, and Auschwitz now. There’s a hill with a chimney now, but back then there was no brick chimney. Someone said the pictures of the Jews looking all starved and frail like we normally see is because allied forces bombed the German supply lines.
