''What countries would this hypertube go through to get to Iran?'' There are two routes I think ROK is planning: one through Moscow to Scandinavia/Central Europe, the other through C.A. The one though C.A. would be the one going through Iran; ROK would have to go through, MPR (Mongolia), Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan to be able to get through Iran, and eventually to end with Turkiye, and Eastern Europe through Visegrad group. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visegr%C3%A1d_Group From there, these two routes could merge somewhere in Central/Southern Europe, such as Paris/Berlin. This will allow far freer/economical trade in entire Eurasian continent. C.A. nations have abundant natural resources, but they have a serious issue, just like Afghanistan (In fact, I could easily see Talis joining the trade network as well); most if not all are land locked, and they don't have anyone with enough independent military/economic/technological/political asset with enough impartial objectivity, who could build a trade network, save one: ROK ''Why are you so consumed by Iran?'' It's not just me; it's ROK. Some in ROK military channels have already been clamoring the importance of domestic jet engine, so that ROK could sell KF-21 to Iranians. ROK already sees both Russia and Iran as the most important future allies of ROK eventually. Iran is not landlocked, and both ME and Africa could trade with Iran, allowing the hypertube trade network to serve indirectly both ME and Africa as well, virtually uniting most of the world economy in far more efficient trade network; Iran also has plenty of oil/gas that could serve as fuel depot for the hypertube trade network. Not only the trade network could run efficiently on Iranian gas/oil, but also use it to deliver those oil/gas where needed in fast, safe, cost effective manner. ROK is agnostic regarding the political nature of natives/locals, unlike U.S./West. ROK would do business with anyone so long as they don't threaten ROK, or the trade network.

Yes, the future may hold interesting things. That will be interesting if a tunnel is dug that far.
