Why would it be mixed coming from DPRK? I am not exactly a fan of DPRK myself, but I am proud of the fact that Koreans are musically very gifted. https://m.koreaherald.com/article/3159253

Of course, the Dear Leader has the power to kill them and their families any time, for any reason. As for ROK singers/musicians, winning a Tschaikovsky competition would open the doors for them, starred career in the industry. It's their parents who are the fanatics. There was a movie, where a father blinds his daughter to make her be able to sing, with a true sorrow in her voice. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seopyeonje At 3:10, the father plans to blind the daughter so that she could sing with true sorrow in her voice; Koreans are kinda like that.
