There are three versions of the Jesus and crucifixion:  
  
✡️: Jesus was the bastard Child of a whore who was killed by Romans, with help from Rabbis, for trying to challenge the authority of Ceaser. He died on the cross and all the talk about people seeing him resurrected is BS. He's in hell, in boiling shit.   
  
✝️: Jesus was God and son of God, that father God sent to atone for human sins but when the mission was almost complete Jesus God cried "my God why have you forsaken me" and suffered unimaginable cruelty and pain. The disciples didn't witness his crucifixion but heard about it, thought he was dead so when they saw him 3 days later, they thought they were seeing a spirit but Jesus showed them he was there in the flesh.   
  
Quran version: Jesus was born of divine birth and his example "is like that of Adam". He was the Messiah and a prophet, preaching monotheism like all other prophets. Then Quran says jews are cursed, \["except for a few"\], for breaking the covenant with God, for slandering the virgin Mary "*And \[for\] their saying, 'Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.' **And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but \[another\] was made to resemble him to them**. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain. Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.*"  
  
Qurans version says Jesus was spared the torture and while another (possibly one of his enemies) was crucified in his place to fool them.  
Not in the Quran, but Logically, we assume he stayed in hiding for a few days before meeting the disciples, assuring them he was alive in the flesh, and then he was lifted to God, alive, to wait till he is sent down again,  in the end-times, to kill the anti-christ and establish the kingdom of God on Earth. Quran goes on to say that cribes changed the words of the Bible "for a small price" to mislead the people.   
  
So thats the three versions. we believe what our intellect and mindset find most attractive.
