I consider Americans a race/ethnic group unto themselves that have different sub groups. “Whites” are not Europeans, “Blacks” are not Africans. Phenotypically, culturally as well as ethnically. America is truly a melting pot. I remember there was a show with white and black separatists, the white guy turned out to be a mulatto with [14%](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-XDKiO-i4Q) [subsaharan African blood.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-XDKiO-i4Q)
