They learned how the autoloader worked by using T-80; btw. T-80 has a very good autoloading system itself, but ROK improved it further by studying French autoloading system as well. As for S-400, it was cutting edge back then, and it's not too shabby even now (ask Erdogan), ROK has learned a lot about missile design technology, from the designers of S-400 (courtesy of Putin, who also desires ally such as ROK in the future aggressive intetions from China and Japan to secure the Russian Far East) ROK now has superior missile system than S-400.
