Visual merge will be happening more frequently when stealth fighter jets are employed in air superiority dog fights over the initial SEAD mission. Stealth jets advancing fast over enemy territory; enemy non-stealth jet advancing fast toward stealth jet, visual merge can happen even if the enemy jet does not anticipate the encounter, with no preplan. Even more, if the enemy jets anticipate stealth jets advancing through their territory, they could stage a potential trap whenever they go on patrol, two enemy non-stealth jets conducting sweeps from opposite direction, when one stealth jet sees through radar one of the enemy non-stealth jet, it could fox three that non-stealth jet, and fly opposite direction, but only to encounter the other non-stealth jet approaching! Visual merge can happen in an instant, with not enough time for the stealth jet to perform evasive maneuvers to avoid WVR combat. This is even more likely so if the enemy non-stealth jets use MUM-T approach, commanding a squadron, even multiple squadrons of autonomous drones. A lone stealth jet wouldn't stand a chance. ''The open ocean and water particles, which reflects light which is what lasers are.'' .......but the laser AD won't be directed against ocean surface, but the incoming drones, missiles/bombs/planes. Not only that it only degrades the performance of laser, does not neutralize it. Lasers are getting more powerful day by day, laser ADs will be able to perform AD duty even through the fog, sooner or later.

Who thought the F-22 was invincible? When its designed to loose a simulation, its not that big of a deal.
