Lol...you post the same articles as if this reinforces anything. Over and over and over. Yeah, I'm sure military commanders over the years have had hubris. Welcome to being human. There is a small gap between being a hero and an idiot. Why did he jump into the water to save a drowning person??? He's a hero for saving that person who was drowning!!! Attacking the ridge right now? Falling for the enemies faint of retreat? Not attacking now? Not falling for it? Individual decisions made at the time by flawed humans with flawed information.
