I agree with all said cept one thing! I do not thinknitcis the engineering thats bad, i would say it is having zero quality control. We have farmed work out to china before. And if we make something in-house out of 100 pieces one will be scrap, from there it is min 20-30% Scrap. Not good enough for that company. The problem is is generally acceptable, and there is not much quality control once it comes through here either.....it is again acceptable to companies to have bad product. Mostly

Agreed, i was being kind of lazy and using the term engineering to also include production. Quality control has definetly left the building. Everything seems hyper focused on just mass production and speed.

Lazy was my proof reading!🤔 Even my current shop does this backslide. All in the name of speed and cost, we keep opening up tolerances on parts rather then spend the time and money to really solve problems, we just make it acceptable.
