In short, I think MLK would have understood that his people would never be considered "equal" in this country, and that it would remain that way. Just like today, we had a mixed president that got crucified by the media for wearing a tan suit, meanwhile we see what the majority of this country voted for... The same supremacy he was fighting back in the 60s is still alive and well today. There is just more cameras around now, so it is not as blatant as it once was.
