Its a union, this isn't a new concept. Have you seen how much dock workers get paid to stand around? Union workers in Savannah get paid well all while the consumers pay more because of union rules and laws. Samsung must have been fucking its consumers quite steadily if they have that money to pay out. They will soon replace them with robots...

It is a new concept; it's not wages/benefits/pensions, but cold hard lump cash bonus. U.S./West has never offered such proportional/performance-based compensation to workers, without increasing overhead. Not only that, but this was also mediated by the government as well; they want to run things smoothly.
