I would argue most people feel this way about their generation. Nostalgia, tribalism, ***Nostalgic Tribalism?***. *Man back in my day when we were growing up, things were so great! These kids today just don't know, and they wont get off my lawn or their phones!* Time is cyclical, lives are cyclical. What we do in life echoes in eternity, there is a reason why people are attracted to history and **period piece** films and Tv shows. I think a lot of times we focus on what separates us as %%humans%% instead of what we %%share%%. Even through the generations, with our long lost ancestors, and what we may be afraid of or **fearful** for the future ones. At the end of the day the best we can do, is what legacy we leave to the future generations, as what we do in life echoes in eternity. I would argue that your parents probably were worried about a lot of things. It may have just seemed different, and silly to you in the present. as the wise homer simpson once said: or Clearly there is some data and analysis benefit from labeling and tracking trends by "Generations". Such as this generation ate lead paint, and it didn't go so well. But Generations and who applies the label, how people associate themselves with generations is a complicated nuanced topic.
