I'm not totally out yet. The goal is to watch the insane happenings of the world from a safe distance, and I have mostly accomplished that. I won't be totally free until I'm on my property and we are fully self sufficient, or at least sufficient with neighbors included. But now I'm better than 50% free in my opinion living in a small town in central Mexico. If the supply chains are destroyed things won't change much here because local farmers and producers come to town from outside villages to sell there goods, not much different than they did thousands of years ago. Here people still use horses, they ride bikes and they walk for commerce. Of course it would slow down temporarily if the SHTF but it would be temporary and within a short time things would return to relative normality. Here many people live entirely outside the slave system and I my goal is to join them more and more over time.
