Interesting question. I don't have a filter on that...not a precise one as of yet anyway. Visuals come at about the same time as the words. However, I often catch myself using English in my head unnecessarily...and I question it. *Why do I do that?* Like I am watching a younger child learning to speak accurately....and I am helping them learn that. Odd patterns but interesting. Peace.

is English your mother tongue? You seem like an empathetic person, it is likely subconscious empathy, you want to help the child learn but in a indescribable automatic way. Just a guess anyway

Yes...English is my first language. Really...it it the only language that I spend much time with anymore. These days, I am most interested in accuracy....and the details of grammar are ever complex as one goes down those rabbit holes, so it occupies a fair amount of mind time. This is why I find it a bit odd. I feel like my language skills are pretty good, yet I am always at play with new patterns that keep the child in my mind interested in continuous learning. Not sure if it as tactical as that, but it does feel a bit like a training pattern for new ideas. Peace.

I only asked about the English because you mentioned the specific language of the voice you could hear, as if to say it was unexpected to be in that language, and I was unsure if you meant this.
