Great ideas! I'm so happy that you're raising these concerns and asking these questions! I look forward to seeing how others answer you. For me, as an Orthodox Christian, my perspective is always filtered through the Bible and how the Church Fathers interpret it. Based on that, I got a little help from my ol' buddy AI to condense everything down:   
  
1\. Creation &amp; Suffering: Is God "All-Caring"?  
  
 • The Critique: Why create the world? For amusement? If He's powerful, why is there suffering?  
  
 • The Answer: God is a Trinity—an eternal communion of love. He didn't create out of boredom or a need for a "toy," but out of an overflowing desire to share His life and joy.  
  
 • The Punchline: God didn't create a broken world; He created free will. True love cannot be forced. Evil isn't a thing God made; it’s a privation—a distortion of good caused when humans misuse their freedom. As St. Basil the Great put it: "Evil is the absence of good."  
  
2\. Divine Hiddenness: Why use cryptic prophets?  
  
 • The Critique: Why not just show Himself undeniably to everyone?  
  
 • The Answer: If God revealed His raw, unshielded cosmic glory to a faithless world, it would instantly overwhelm human psychology and obliterate free will. True love respects boundaries.  
  
 • The Punchline: God did show up visibly—by becoming a human being in Jesus Christ. For centuries before that, He used "divine pedagogy" (spiritual education), adapting His message through prophets to what ancient, brutal cultures could actually process at the time.  
  
3\. Abraham &amp; Isaac: A "Sick Joke"?  
  
 • The Critique: God demanding child sacrifice makes Him no better than the demon Moloch.  
  
 • The Answer: In the ancient Near East, sacrificing children to idols like Moloch was a horrifying cultural norm. By stopping Abraham's hand, God was actually shattering that pagan practice forever, drawing a hard line that He demands life, not death.  
  
 • The Punchline: It wasn't a joke; it was a prophetic echo. The Church Fathers see it as a foreshadowingof the Crucifixion—with one massive twist: God spared Abraham’s son, but did not spare His own Son (Jesus) out of love for us.  
  
4\. Worship: Does God "Need" Praise?  
  
 • The Critique: Why does an all-powerful God demand or need us to pray to Him?  
  
 • The Answer: God needs absolutely nothing. He is entirely self-sufficient.  
  
 • The Punchline: Prayer doesn't change God; it changes us. Aligning our hearts with the Source of life heals our souls. As St. John Chrysostom wrote: "Our worship adds nothing to His glory, but it brings grace to our souls."  
  
5\. "Mysterious Ways" vs. Indoctrination  
  
 • The Critique: "God works in mysterious ways" is just a brainwashing tool to stop people from thinking.  
  
 • The Answer: That phrase is actually a modern cliché, not ancient theology. Orthodoxy highly values intellect and reason. However, it acknowledges a logical reality: the finite cannot swallow the infinite.   
  
 • The Punchline: If a human brain could fully comprehend God, whatever it’s understanding wouldn't be God. St. Augustine summed it up: "If you understand it, it is not God."
