I heard similar stories from my grand grandfather who had some connection with Germany during 2nd WW, even though he had migrated with family to Brazil before the first WW. What I can tell is that my grand uncle, from another side of the family, was executed by the military in Germany because he was a womanizer and this was not tolerated, punishable by execution. Rules were very strict and to be followed by the letter. His children, in Brazil, received the documents sent from the archives when they inquired about any details about their father's fate.
