Very true. They actually sent 3 waves of attack planes and some navy boats, fas as I can tell from the flight times. Maybe even mistakenly thought the damage was enough and the boat would sink before making it back so mission accomplished. They didn't show mercy to the survivors, God did.

Yes, let me clarify you are correct. I meant that the attack was a single wave (multiple assets), and an attempt at another wave was not authorized. Its my guess that everyone in the operation was specifically time limited because detection was a big risk component to the planners.
