Yes, I had been aware of it more than a decade ago; they have a major plant in Lincoln, NE no less. So spare parts wouldn't be too much problem, either. However, I decided against it for several issues. Stored diesel would last about a year before going bad. Then what? True, NE does produce some oil within its border, but far away from Omaha. State government in NE will survive, but the priority for whatever oil produced within NE will be reserved for the state/public use only. Also, that kawasaki model is a known maintenance hog, far more than the regular gasoline version. https://www.thedrive.com/news/this-rare-military-motorcycle-was-deemed-unfixable-in-all-but-the-right-hands With electric bike, solar panel charging, and batteries getting more durable, more powerful, more range, electric is the way to go. For a single rider, electric bicycle is the way. https://hpcbikes.com/blogs/news/revolution-x-the-ultimate-premium-e-bike-fastest-highest-performance-and-built-for-elite-riders?utm_source=Klaviyo&utm_medium=email&_kx=dhBu2HzjvHmo23HTnlcZ6t5BnPMQQoU3I9NblcsyDxY.WbfBaG https://optibike.com/ For bad weather, https://outriderusa.com/ I had already anticipated this before it happened. https://www.forbes.com/sites/vikrammittal/2026/02/14/ukraine-develops-new-landmine-to-counter-russian-offensive-tactics/ Why I foresee the coming civil wars, both interstate, and intrastate (most like TX, FL), to be what I foresee. https://soj.ooo/p/freethinkers/post/1fc32988c6515e42dff6c356319c3e4f
