1) political parties are protected by the 1st amendments freedom of association clause. You may be able to keep politicians from openly being involved but would not be able to keep the average slob from voting as a group. 2) a better method would be to tie the personal fortunes of the politians to the gdp per capita and national debt. You would do this buy freezing all of their personal assets when they entered office and returning them adjusted for the change in the nations status upon them leaving office. This avoids the whole enslavement/indentured servitude issue with your proposed solution. It also puts more risk on older/higher net worth politicians and less on younger more idealistic people. 3) by keeping politicians from working after leaving office you will keep the best and brightest from ever trying to better the situation. What doctor/scientist/environmentalist/name a high earning proffession is going to give up a lifetime of earnings only to lose their freedoms as a result. to loose their freedoms.

You have made terrific points even if I cannot agree with each one currently. I would raise the point if you can simply Regain the option to work in corporate life after service. Then the current status quo of corrupt politicians would just continue. No reason to 'freeze' their assets if as soon as they leave public service they can continue to exploit the system. The order to serve publicly must be absolute, and for life.
