That's the way coalitions work. The leader of a coalition is at the mercy of the most ruthless faction. Netenyahu is at the mercy of the Likud which is itself a coalition of other smaller factions. We have a similar situation in the US where the hyper-activist LGBqwerty demands total allegiance and gets it because the Democrat coalition is that weak. The Republican coalition used to be all but controlled by the "Moral Majority" back in the 80's in a similar dynamic. The problem is obviously that this "no capitulation" minority always diminishes support from more moderate factions until they lose all relevance and ultimately become a complete liability rather than an asset. This also results in the tiny faction of necessity advocating for one or another candidate as the least offensive alternative from their perspective. So, White Nationalists see in Republicans the one party not actively attempting to denigrate White people as the lesser evil from their perspective which becomes an albatross to hang around anyone not actively supporting an anti-White agenda. The one "out" available to some players is if the "mainstream" media is willing to paper over the alliances of any of the major players. Thus, the Democrats managed to largely escape and even transfer the stigma of being aligned pretty explicitly with the KKK to the Republicans. To the average non-observant voter who's told the narrative of whoever is in control and never considers researching the actual facts and is never going to consider the nuances of political alliances and machinations it's a pretty effective tactic.

Well there's also the idea of the cartel. Factions who have come together to align on very specific things so that there is never any competition towards those ends.

Cartels are really just a more stable form of alliance, but ultimately susceptible to the same infighting problems of any nominally competitive groups. Someone always sees an advantage to be had and eventually figures a way to gain that advantage, destabilizing the cartel. It's a question of when, not if.
