Yes, and that is still the foundation of 'Chinese dream'; why ROK wants to build up the military so that ROK could launch a decisive, successful, strategic offensive against China, any China, not just PRC under Xi. Why ROK wants to eventually end the alliance with U.S. but to ally with Russia, and Iran; that China might be 'Pro-U.S.' by then, and U.S. would hinder any successful strategic offensive by ROK to keep 'Pro-U.S. China' alive. Why DPRK signed a defensive treaty with Russia, at the displeasure of PRC under Xi. DPRK is aware of PRC plan to annex NK when DPRK implodes and rightly suspects PRC would trigger such an implosion when given a chance. Why there have been so many purges of Pro-PRC DPRK politicians/generals for the last several decades. Why Putin also signed that treaty with DPRK, again, at the displeasure of PRC under Xi.
