I get along GREAT in my communities. People fist bump me, my barber hugs me, the barkeep knows me. My local grocier saves fruits for me. Sorry your experience abroad sucked, perhaps you are the common denominator? I have been gone three years full time in five countries and get along fantastically in Mexico, Thailand, Turkiye, Japan and Malaysia. Pretty disparate cultures.

User1999, I'd love to talk more about life in Mexico. I'm trying to get a group together to buy a property and build however many houses we need. I live in the state of Puebla. Everything is cheap and you can build a wonderful house for 30k.

I am game for the discussion, my woman is a duel citizen of Mexico and USA (born in Mexico, 30 years in usa) you are aware that foreigners cannot actually own land? I have owned property abroad since the 90s LOTS of people get scammed. Please make sure you do the research on how to put a "group of folks" together - it is not really possible to my knowledge. to do in a way that would satisfy most westerners. I am happy to be wrong. https://www.xpmrealty.com/post/understanding-real-estate-trusts-fideicomiso-in-mexico
