I don't think it was fake, didn't someone die in the crowd? Unless someone has evidence to the contrary to the guy who died I don't think it was fake, additionally to make that kind of shot is next to impossible for even a trained sniper. I'm more inclined to believe that he wasn't supposed to miss at the very least, whether he was solo schizoid or being groomed by whatever intelligence agency, who knows, unless any official documents ever come out or get leaked we will never know.
