I've tried my best to take a blind approach and review what's been published thus far, and no matter how hard I try, cannot come to the same conclusion as you in regards to a 'lack of transparency.' It would be great if you could share more details about your concerns and, if they can be addressed, I'm sure they certainly will be. As of now, this seems like a gaslighting event rather than honest concern.
