If you are asking which story came first...yes...I think Tiamat is first....but only in this comparison...if you do more research...as others will point out....this was just what we have in written form....others predate....but not much 'evidence' of it. Peace.

1\. We've excavated less than 1% of earth's surface 2\. Oldest story found yet, isn't necessarily the oldest story that was or will be found 3\. Oldest human "writing" or "drawing" found yet is 50-70,000 years old. Oldest human skull found so far is a million years old. Evidence keeps changing so kinda risky to base belief on hard evidence only, no?

*Evidence keeps changing so kinda risky to base belief on hard evidence only, no?* Yes...exactly....the evidence keeps changing...that is a good point. Some people have planted themselves in a book....one book...doesn't seem like an intelligent pattern to follow, yet many do. Odd stuff. But not sure if you are suggesting 'belief' has much to do with evidence....except the belief that the evidence being offered is actually true. It would be wise to base belief on evidence only....and without that....we can feel perfectly free to suspend our belief until such evidence is provided. We don't have to know....the universe is huge...we are small...it is okay not to know. What is not okay, is to 'pretend' to know....and then force others to do the same. As we learn new things, we update our patterns to make the most of our ability to adapt to new information on an ongoing process....something like that. Comparing these two....gives us some insights as to how these 'stories' were formulated and the overlaps, the oddities, that exist between them. Peace.
