15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:15–17 What motivated me to start this thread was the question posed by @j.k.harwood2. ''God doesn't like dogs, but created dogs? Doesn't seem to fit.'' - j.k.harwood2 https://soj.ooo/p/freethinkers/post/06bfcab1071f46bb9acc0df256b105f9/comment/149297

That's swell. The Torah is entirely independent of later writings. The later writings are often an attempt to alter the earlier ones. In the case of Colossians, it's [largely considered a fraudulent writing](https://ehrmanblog.org/did-paul-write-colossians-according-to-most-scholars-no-paul-did-not-write-colossians/) attempting to alter even those early alterations. If you're only going to consider biblical writings from a modern Christian perspective, then you're going to have to say so. But, the question of "god doesn't like but did create xyz" is begged by a fair bit of the Torah. "Unclean animals" being the obvious example. But, if you're not willing to delve into biblical criticism and explore how and why the bible came to be written the way it is, it's really just a tiny diversion with essentially nothing to discuss about it. If this is something that actually interests you, rather than a minor diversion, then we can discuss it.

''If you're only going to consider biblical writings from a modern Christian perspective, then you're going to have to say so.'' j k hardwood is considered a modern Christian, so does that mean per modern Christianity, God cannot like Satan? ''But, the question of "god doesn't like but did create xyz" is begged by a fair bit of the Torah. "Unclean animals" being the obvious example.'' What are the unclean animals per Torah? ''But, if you're not willing to delve into biblical criticism and explore how and why the bible came to be written the way it is, it's really just a tiny diversion with essentially nothing to discuss about it. If this is something that actually interests you, rather than a minor diversion, then we can discuss it.'' I am very interested; I want to use this angle in a conversation between a hitman posing as a ME terrorist to kill a bunch of kids, a part of pedophile prostitution ring, by working as FAC for a supertucano used by an Honduran major smuggled into U.S. for the purpose of downing an airline carrying the kids. The hitman disguises as a ME terrorist in order to confuse the investigation trail after the downing of the airliner. The hitman was planning to use a parachute after the midair explosion, to escape. The hitman's employer came up with this idea because the security around the kids was too strict; too many VIPs were involved in this pedophile prostitution ring. I was inspired by Franklin Credit Union Scandal as well. The hitman ended up striking a conversation with a true Christian lady sometime before the explosion is to take place, regarding God, and faith. This is for one of my stories, 'The Theater of Life'.
