Wasn't U.S. a vassal of UK at one time? Hasn't U.S. replaced UK in time? Wasn't Qing dynasty a vassal of Ming at one time? Wasn't Jurchen Jin a vassal of Khitan Liao dynasty at one time? You obviously lack historical perspective; even if ROK were a vassal of U.S. today, it doesn't necessarily mean ROK will not replace U.S. in the future.
