I think Trump overestimates the leverage U.S. has over the trading partners; even Tucker gooped on this one, he thinks Trump's bluff is working. I am more worried whether the necessary major reform can take place. In ROK, people are getting angrier, angrier with Trump/U.S. Many ROK military channels are becoming increasingly less and less Pro-U.S. If this trend continues, the alliance with U.S. could end long before 2050. ROK could make separate deal with DPRK/Russia. One reason this is plausible is that both DPRK, and Russia do not trust China, and neither does ROK. DPRK has a complicated relationship with Trump, and so does Putin, and so does ROK. This might bring enough common grounds to bring DPRK, Russia, and ROK together, against both U.S. and China. Putin getting chummy with both Iran/Saudi/UAE also could smooth things with ROK as well. Since ROK gets along very well with these three, and Iran with DPRK.
