Respectfully, we need taxes to pay for things everyone needs. Could it be better? - so that our hard earned money doesn't go to stupid shit- hells yea.

No... no we don't. The system needs completely reset with local only assemblies that decide what is best for them... Anything that exists now, is just the titanic and deckchair shuffling.

I agree local communities need to be more involved in local governance. We let career politicians and corrupt political parties dictate where our money goes, while we're stuck being wage slaves, with little or no time to do anything about our country. The founding fathers used tariffs, property taxes, and poll taxes to establish and run the republic. How are we to protect the nation if we don't tax beyond the local level? I think income tax should go for sure.
