Controlled opposition. In my opinion, they will probably want to sweep in new laws to oppress people. People are easily led in a direction they may not realize is bad for them long term, but feels good in the short term. "Look at all these lefty whackos" then they will say we need more surveillance and Police enforcement etc until one day you're not even allowed to go outside. Either way the strings of violence makes me sad.

yup story of my entire adult life over Global War on Terror... tell students that airports used to be pretty painless experience and watch 🤯 they're not just inching the temperature up for us frogs in the pot, they letting us have tadpoles and everything while plutocracy at it
