\> Even leaving the block and bans features off the table. How do we create tools so I can see the content I want to see. Things I will engage with and enjoy to better my own life. Where is the line between a social media platform and anti-social media platform? If it's work to find anything that positively enhances my personal experience than wont we continue on this path where everyone just fights or leaves? Great questions, and I completely understand the issues you are bringing forward. They are absolutely real and cause burden to those who simply want to engage in great discourse. As I mentioned in another message, this platform belongs to the people collectively. This is not a platform that belongs to me, Matt, or anyone else solely. Our initial intent was to build the world's internet town square. By building something that provides tools to let people curate their world, this could effectively begin a slippery slope which may put us in a position where we are no longer creating a natural town square and instead creating something that creates isolated bubbles. soj.ooO is very different from a typical social network. For example, people are steered toward discussion as opposed to following user profiles here. \> Often I will see a post get randomly bumped from 5+ months ago that I never saw because it was buried by nonsense. And I think Wow I would have really liked to see this post 5+ months ago and participate in the discussion. But I couldn't because I never saw it, and it was buried by spam. And I don't have the time to scroll through pages of slop to find the gems. This is a problem with both algorithmic positioning and human-algorithmic positioning. It's a very difficult problem to get right, given the time-constraints on human attention. That being said, the fact that a post can bump and become visible again is presumably better for visibility than their pure algorithmic platform counterparts. \> Let alone the issue of splintering groups of people partitioning themselves off to create niche groups which then fight amongst and against each other. As people become friends and align themselves with others they become tribal and will defend their own group even if it has become a nonsensical situation. I don't think rules to enforce otherwise would be natural, but this is for the community to decide **as a whole**. I want to reiterate that we do not wish to make decisions on the platform on behalf of users unilaterally. The soj.ooO DAO effectively addresses **all** of your listed concerns beautifully insofar that you, and others, will be able to determine what tools are (or are not) included. Thanks again for the feedback and questions @logical, and I apologize that I couldn't provide better answers (although the DAO is the best answer imho, so these proposals can be formally proposed, and voted thereon, soon!). We built this platform in a highly opinionated way, both because we felt there was a need but also as a global, online experiment (much like the US is a global, physical experiment). **It is my strongest hope that this platform does not become a clone of X or Tiktok as the bump style, text-oriented forum style is truly needed in this world.** But, that's not for me to decide. ;)

This is what is wrapping around in my brain as well. I spent so much time here because I love the vision you guys set forth. Power to the users. The bump system is **GREAT** and I don't want an algorithm, that would be the end... This has brought to mind E=mc^2^ Actions have opposite reactions right? User 1 can tag User2, should User2 not have the ability to "Un-tag"? The power to the people thing I love. But don't we need to enable the people with fair and proper tools to defend themselves. Humans are strange. It's an experience to interact with each other. However theres always going to be those who at times are negative. Disagreements, differing opinions. Shouldn't users on both sides of any altercation or interaction have equal tools to use? In my opinion currently the aggressor has too many rights over the abused. But Like you said much of this can be answered with the DAO and HYPE HYPE it's exciting.
