These days very good people also want to be anon for privacy reasons. Now that we have seen the rise of censorship, people getting fired for their opinions, doxxing, internet threats, scams, etc, etc... many sane people want to have conversations but don't want all of the other BS that can come from it. If we here don't allow people to be anonymous, that is basically in support of digital IDs, which I personally am not a fan of.
