Can you explain how believing the teachings of the Bible is a net negative for the world today ? I'm not trying to talk shit or argue I'm trying to hear your perspective.

I'm listening currently, had a thought about half way through. It's all rational I'm not gonna say your wrong. But you don't think there would be any wars or division is the belief in god simply did not exist? I believe there will always be teams, or tribes, alliances. I think conflict is inevitable, of course war and violence is the last resort to end conflict. I certainly disapprove of what is happening in Palestine and I wouldn't wish my religion or any religion kills millions of people. In fact I would assume that most Christians, most Muslims, and even most Jewish don't want to see war and death and dying. It is a small minority of leaders and people in power who make the decision whether to declare war or not, now if these leaders rationale is faith related then I agree with you. But I believe a lot of these people are drunk on power, and end up using their power in ugly and destructive ways, with a raging ego, which of course is not following the word of God. This destruction of God's creation is actually disobedient to God. I have hard time believing there wouldn't be any conflict if the everyone was atheist from the jump. Now my counter to your argument, curious what you think of this: In the last century, Atheism is far more common now than it was at any time in History since the United States was founded. Do you really believe this country is happier, and better with less influence from the Christian faith? Suicide is much higher than it's been, People are far more unhealthy than we've ever been, Divorce rates are at all time highs, And we having less and less children, which will only cause more and more problems down the line for the US. There is extraordinary amounts of degeneracy in our culture today, with terrible music and movies, literally openly demonic. Just look at our speech, 20 year olds 100 years ago had a great vocabulary and were much more intellectual than today, now most of us can't even piece together coherent ideas. College culture absolutely toxic, with an abhorrent culture of casual sex and partying while education seems secondary. So I'm not saying Atheism caused any of this. But it important to note that Atheism has been gaining popularity while faith is waining in the west. So let me ask you - Are we headed for Utopia? Are we just getting a taste of what a full on Atheist society could look like?

You pose a great question. I do believe that humans (for no matter the reason) will always find a reason to fight one another. I’m not sure if there is an answer for that. Now in regards to the what the world has been looking like as of recent. I think the lack of religion plays a part, but not in the way you’d probably think. From what I’ve gathered, religion acts like a band-aid for the existentialism of humanity. It answers all of the questions that humanity and great philosophers have not been able to answer since the dawn of civilization. Now I do not think that any of what Man has written down into these books is correct, however, it has satiated the need for those answers to the existential questions. With the decline in religion and or religious practices, we are starting to see those existential questions pop back up into the psyche of humanity. I think that those that have decided to walk away from said religion, realize the inhumanity that has been allowed to continue and or has been promoted by religion.
