Not sure one could make that linguistic distinction on these complex patterns. Metaphysical patterns are mostly 'whatever we want to believe"....yes? Proof not required. Hope: I hope I win the lottery. Prayer: Dear God...let me win the lottery. We could suggest that one is more 'directed', but that is not a verifiable truth...just more belief...yes? It is an interesting pattern to call attention to....cloudy waters with Metaphysics...but well worth the investigation as it keeps the communication open to new more accurate patterns of description. I think its like speed vs velocity. But that's just my opinion. I hope this genocide ends = I wish this genocide ends. Purely a wish. A desired outcome but no supplication. I pray this genocide ends = I wish this genocide ends but there's an implied supplication to a higher power, or an external power. You don't even have to say I pray to God, Buddha or Jupiter. It's implicitly understood that you're supplicating to an external power to answer your prayer (hopefully). Peace 🥂
